The challenges of the future in the fields of energy, mobility, information and communication technologies and participation were the main issues of discussion during the general meeting of the “Stardust” program 2022, which took place on 9 & 10 November, in the Municipal Library, in the city of Kozani.

In the general meeting, the achievements and challenges faced so far by the three “lighthouse” cities, Pamplona, Tampere and Trento, were presented, while the path to Climate Neutrality for the STARDUST cities selected among the 100 (Tampere, Kozani, Cluj Kapoka) was discussed furthermore.

The goal of the STARDUST project is to prepare these 7 participating cities (Pamplona, Tampere Trento, Cozani, Cluj Capoca, Derry, Litomerice) for their transformation into environmentally friendly smart cities, with high performance systems focused on citizens. In this way, the cities participating in the project will develop urban green technology solutions integrating the sectors of buildings, transport and energy saving through ICT, testing and validating these solutions to enable their direct release to the market.

The meeting was hosted by the Municipality of Kozani and the Cluster of Bioeconomy & Environment of Western Macedonia, which are the two partners of the project, while representatives of ANKO Western Macedonia A.E. and of DEVA Kozani attended.
