The starting point for further cooperation was the working meeting of the three Municipalities that are the seats of the cross-border Regions, that took place on Tuesday, April 12, 2022. The topic was “Green and Digital Transition in Southeastern Europe”. The mayors of Kozani, Lazaros Maloutas, Bitola, Toni Konjanovski and Korytsa, Sotiraq Filo and their associates, discussed the challenges, but also the opportunities that may arise in the Western Balkans. The teleconference was an initiative of the mayor of Kozani, Lazaros Maloutas and took place in a very warm atmosphere. All parties agreed on further cooperation and visits to the countries, as well as additional communication. The topics of discussion were digital transition, energy, innovation, culture, sport and European issues in general. The meeting took place on the occasion of the submission of a proposal by the Municipality of Kozani for participation in the Mission for the “100 climate neutral and smart cities of Europe” and the memorandum of cooperation signed between the three municipalities.<\/p>\n
