global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; custom_padding__hover=&#8221;|||&#8221;][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.14.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]The memorandum of cooperation between the Municipality of Kozani and the School of Law as well as the Polytechnic School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki aims at shaping a framework of educational and research cooperation through identified common goals and areas of interest.<\/p>\n<p>The memorandum was signed by the <strong>Mayor of Kozani, Lazaros Maloutas<\/strong>, as well as the Dean, Professor, <strong>Kyriakos Yakinthos<\/strong> as the representative of the <strong>Polytechnic School of AUTH<\/strong>, as well as the Dean, Professor, <strong>Panagiotis Glavinis<\/strong> as the representative of the<strong> School of Law of AUTH<\/strong>, on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at the Mayor&#8217;s Office.<\/p>\n<p>The parties signaled the beginning of a systematic and effective cooperation, recognizing its importance for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the implementation of the objectives of the European Green Agreement<\/li>\n<li>the implementation of the European Missions and in particular the Mission<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>of \u00a0&#8220;100 Climate Neutral and Smart Cities by 2030&#8221;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the development of educational and research activities in the framework of<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>the Cities\u2019 Mission<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the creation of a continuous channel of communication and exchange of<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>know-how with the aim of disseminating research results at national and<\/p>\n<p>European level<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a series of issues related to the transition of the Municipality of Kozani to<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>climate neutrality by 2030<\/p>\n<p>In the framework of the Memorandum and for its fulfillment, the contracting parties may proceed with:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>programme contracts for the study and execution of research projects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>in the context of the transition of the Municipality of Kozani to climate neutrality<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the cooperation in planning and implementing projects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>subsidized by national programs and programs of the European Union<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the joint submission of proposals for funding by national programs as<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>well as programs of the European Union<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the design and development of digital applications through the use of<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>advanced technologies in the fields of environment and energy, the digital transformation of cities and communities, transport, rural development and food, tourism, culture, development and innovation<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the joint organization of scientific and educational activities (e.g.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>conferences, workshops, events, exhibitions, joint announcements in conferences)<\/p>\n<p>It is worth mentioning that the Municipality of Kozani is moving fast towards its inclusion in the Mission of &#8220;100 climate-neutral and smart cities of Europe by 2030&#8243;, taking several initiatives, including this memorandum of cooperation.[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_gallery gallery_ids=&#8221;26348,26350,26352&#8243;
